Bing Crosby: His Greatest Hits Of The 30s
This CD marks the greatest hits of the most prolific hit-maker of all time, covering his two vintage decades. During the '30s Bing scored a phenomenal 154 hits, and the 25 greatest of them are contained in this collection. 22 were No.1s, monopolising the top slot for some 82 weeks (such as the million selling "Sweet Leilani", "Pennies From Heaven", "Please", "You’re Getting To Be A Habit With Me", "Little Dutch Mill", "Love In Bloom", "June In January", "The Moon Got In My Eyes" and" I’ve Got A Pocketful Of Dreams"). For three of the numbers Bing duets with Connee Boswell, the amazing lead singer of The Boswell Sisters ("Bob White, Whatcha Gonna Swing Tonight?", "Alexander’s Ragtime Band" and "An Apple For The Teacher"), while in 1931 he was joined by The Mills Brothers for a breezy version of "Dinah".
