Adam Green & Binki Shapiro

Adam Green & Binki Shapiro

Released 28th January 2013

Adam Green & Binki Shapiro, the new self-titled album from the hottest duo around, is deceptively pretty, filled with the echo of late-sixties folk-pop. These songs have twists and turns that reveal more with repeat listens, as their protagonists unfurl relationship tales with bittersweet recall.

Adam Green first came to prominence as one-half of the Grammy-winning Moldy Peaches before embarking on a successful and prolific solo career. Recent months have seen him add 'filmmaker' and 'visual artist' to his list of accomplishments.

Binki Shapiro was one-third of Little Joy, the Brazilian-accented Los Angeles trio formed with Fabrizio Moretti and Rodrigo Amarante that enchanted listeners with its critically acclaimed 2008 album. She also collaborated with Beck, MGMT, Devendra Banhart, and Wolfmother to cover Songs of Leonard Cohen for Beck's Record Club in 2009.
